Dr. David S. Pate, Class of 1976 2002 Recipient As dean of graduate and undergraduate studies, associate provost, Dr. David S. Pate has dedicated his career to achieving excellence in education. After graduating with honors from Bentley College in 1980, Pate went on to Iowa State University where he earned his Ph.D. in Labor Economics in 1985. Upon graduation from Iowa State University, Pate became assistant professor of economics at Norwich University. In 1987, he accepted a similar position at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y, and is now dean of graduate and undergraduate studies, associate provost. Pate continues to strive for both academic and administrative excellence in education, having achieved a variety of academic and administrative goals, particularly in the areas of accreditation, information technology and program development. He has published several articles on economics and presented often at state and regional economic association meetings. He also has reviewed textbooks for McGraw Hill, Publishers and D.C. Heath and Company, acted as an editorial advisor to Durell Journal of Money and Banking and served as a contributing editor to Economic Newsline. | ||||||||
